Artificial Intelligence Conference Poster
The first conference poster I made was about AI and its applications, we invited several speakers to talk about different aspects, whether it’s about embedded systems, cybersecurity, and energy consumption.
Elements and Placements
To represent artificial intelligence, I naturally decided to combine a brain to picture the intelligence, as well as a printed circuit board schematic for the electronics and binary strings for the programming part. I also used a plexus effect in the background to symbolize the neural network, one of the main components of artificial intelligence. I arranged the plexus to simulate depth, to reference the complexity and the multiple layers of artificial intelligence.
To emphasize the title and the subtitle, I made a PCB wire parallel to the brain’s spinal cord to add line harmony. At the right we have the logo of our engineering school as well as the microphone, the first logo of our club but it was quickly changed to a more subtle one.
Conclusion
Looking back at it, I like the ideas that I had, but the final result looks a bit messy and could use some cleaning and subtlety.
The glowing effect with the addition of PCB lines, the plexus and binary strings is too much impertinent information and can be confusing. I should have found a more minimalistic approach, removed some layers or at least made them more subtle.
Moreover, the color is not very soothing, I should have opted for a darker blue with maybe some accent of electric blue to catch the attention but not overwhelm the viewer.
